Rep Power: 0 | sexual harassment hi all, have any of you had or have a problem with this extremely sensitive issue? i have a customer who seems to only come in when i am working (lunch break most likely) and spends a lot.. but he will go out of his way to make very uncomfortable sexual remarks towards me, almost testing the waters to see what i will say back. I am a young women and he is 56.. I normally try to ignore him or just laugh awkwardly. We don't want to loose his business but his remarks have gone from friendly to disgusting. |

Rep Power: 16 | Re: sexual harassment We have someone like that. The previous owners talked to him about it and didn't realize it was still going on. It is. I don't know if he'll be back since he found out I bought the place (he's big on lying to all the young girls and now he knows I've blown his cover since I've known him several years) but he's officially banned - he doesn't know it yet. I've written out a letter and talked to the local chief of police about it too. Out of ALL the customers, this is the only one who habitually has made all the employees uncomfortable. |

Rep Power: 17 | Re: sexual harassment First point in sexual harassment 1. You must tell him it is unwelcome and his comments need to be cleaned up immediately or he can tan elsewhere. His remarks can be heard by other tanners and employees and shouldn't be allowed to continue under any situation. No salon needs money that bad. 2. Be firm 3. Professional 4. Don't be emotional |
