Rep Power: 16 | Lotion prices on bottles We have all of our lotions out on the sales floor and do not put the prices on the bottles. I never wanted to put the prices on them so that it would encourage the staff to share their knowledge and build a rapport with the clients. A staff member asked me if I would put the prices on them. What does everyone think? |

Rep Power: 22 | Re: Lotion prices on bottles I do not place prices on bottles. First, it encourages memorization of prices which is something I expect of the staff. And they do a great job of it. There are few no one, including me, seems to get right though :) Second, it prevents sticker shock. Some people wont even inquire about a lotion if its over a certain price point. So we prefer to work with the client to find what they need and work up from there. On a side note, try not to "display" you top-line products by dollar. People assume that the most expensive will be on top and may not even touch it. We mix ours up pretty well.

Rep Power: 46 | Re: Lotion prices on bottles i guess it all depends on your client type. most of mine are money conscious. they want the best one in the price they can afford....not just the best one! plus we all know the most exspensive is not always the best!

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Lotion prices on bottles I have my prices on the bottles. Found that more people purchase by price not necessarily by quality. I did not use to have priced lotion bottles, think I sell more with the prices. We are in Michigan, seems like a big difference to some people when spending an additional $5.00 even. But every salon and location works out different for folks. |

Rep Power: 22 | Re: Lotion prices on bottles I also have all my lotions priced. I also have my high priced lotions on the "Top Shelf". This the first lotion that we show a customer and instill in their minds that it's the "best. You would be surprized of how many college students only want the best and if the results are there will pay the price. The best seller of a top shelf lotion is a satisfied college student. It works for me. |
