Rep Power: 0 | Closing a salon I am going to be closing a salon, I have 4 currently. I am going to announce this on Sept 1, encourage my tanners to use up their visits, and let them know that they will be able to use their visits at any of my other stores. My last business day will be the last day in Sept. However, we are going to leave my salon as is and hopefully try to sell it with the help of my complex manager. My question is, how would you word the reasons for closing without making our company look bad? I don't want to reveal too much. My biggest concern is that most of clients will be hearing the news from my pt girls who dont always have a way with words! I'm sure may of you can relate to that! ;o) |

We are giving them one month to use up there packages and are only selling "till close" packages. I would suggest having a script layed out for the girls to know exactly what to say. |

It is easier to sell a salon that has customers than a closed one. then let whomever buys it take over you client base. It would cut down the stress on eveyone. if no one wants to buy it, then close it down and move forward. trying to sell it after closing it is going to cause fustrations for the new salon owner...old tanners wont get that they are a different salon, etc. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Closing a salon Well of course it has been listed the past year :o) Our lease was up in July and we did not want to extend it and our landlord is going to allow us to keep everthing in there and he thinks he will be able to sell it! But my question was not how to go about selling my salon it was how to tell the customers!! :o) Any experience on that topic would be greatly appreciated!! |
