Rep Power: 20 | Season Specials - No??? Okay, I've read on tantalk that specials stop when season hits. How come? Don't you think that competition is vying for the business at this time? Or is it that there are so many tanners and the time is tantime, so customers will pay the price? I've taken a suggestion from tantalk for the past month - week of tanning base bed for $12.99 - and it has been a huge success. Customers are letting me know they like that. But, now what happens? Does everyone just go back to their regular prices? And then hope that the competition is doing the same? Maggie |

Rep Power: 46 | Re: Season Specials - No??? in season you should push large packages 3 months, 6 month, efts. this is when people THINK they will actually use it all. i offer every client a 3 month special when they are looking at buying just 1. i DONT advertise specials anywhere in season except the websites and emails. My specials are kept behind the desk and are aimed at UPSELLING to make more $$. run specials on lotions WITH a package. look 4 some heavily discounted lotion, maybe discontinued stuff (from 07 only) offer that for FREE with a 3 month package or something. PS if you really NEED to keep something like that 1 week going switch it to 2 weeks!

Rep Power: 20 | Re: Season Specials - No??? Thanks Caribbean tan man, That is good to know and the suggestions are just what I need. How do you know if your emails are getting to them? I ran an email special and didn't hear from anyone. I know I have some good email addresses because I ran a contest at Christmas and required their email addresses. |

Rep Power: 20 | Re: Season Specials - No??? Well, the EFT is only $29.99. So I consider when they pay $52.00 month, pretty good. But, $52 is actually $2 less than a one month package. So maybe not so good there. Except I know my 1 month on base bed at $54 is more than the salon down the street where they tan for $24.99 for the month with 1970's beds and bulbs. |

Rep Power: 29 | Re: Season Specials - No??? For instance, I do $20 for the week, $49 for the month. Either way I'm happy with the sale cause at $20/week that's $80/month. You'd be surprised how many people would rather spend "more" cause it's WHAT THEY WANT and not WHAT YOU ARE PUSHING ON THEM. Sometimes the price sucks cause it's just not what they are shopping for especially these days when people come in with 8 days before they leave for the sunniest part of the earth looking for a base tan. |
