Rep Power: 0 | Re: Pace maker Mag and choke ballasts operate at 60 Hz, electronic ballasts operate at 20K-40KHz, microwave ovens operate in the Gigahertz range. This is the frequency range that pacemakers are affected. there is nothing special in a bed that is not in every other appliance. No different then the ceiling lamps. All appliances incorporate some sort of transformers that operate at line frequency and have no effect on pacemakers. 60Hz is all around us, free in the air, if it were a problem then pacemakers wouldn't work in the first place. |
