Client Check In

How do you get around asking for "last name" when you check in your clients?

I know some people have great remembering skills, but for those that don't, how do you go about it???

Re: Client Check In

we issue client numbers and tell them to try and remember their number or keep the card handy, it makes the check in process much faster. then, if u dont remember their name, you can pull them up by number and call them by their name when u send them to a room and they think u remebered their name. it works, so many people ask us how we remember their names. I just tell them that I am that good.

Re: Client Check In

I say to the customer May I please have you're name and I also say I promise once I see you a few times I'll remember. There answer would be there is no problem how could you remember everyone's name. They smile and off they go to their assigned room.

Re: Client Check In

Don't EVER promise ANYTHING.

It's for security reasons and that's the end of that.

You can do what some salons do and get the fingerprint I.D. I think its a crappy way of saying I could care less about who you are, just gimme money.

Honestly,I have received a lot of feedback from my customers and they love the fact we know all there names, first and last and what beds they prefer to use if they are available.

I also try to remember something from a previous conversation,It might seem like alot of trouble but once I have a new customer, they don't go anywhere else and usually bring me more customers.
