Employee Positions during Season - tanTALK

To all Salon owners....How many employee positions do you have during busy season, and how are they designated (mgr, night mgr, bed cleaner, tanning specialist and etc)?

During season, we don't change titles, we just change how many we schedule during a shift. I am manager (day & night). When we are out of town on business, the tanning consultant who has been with us the longest is "acting assistant manager" and receives an increase in pay for the time we are out of town. During season, we have 1 tanning consultant on duty who strictly runs the register and takes care of customers. And we also have a bed cleaner who is in charge of keeping the salon clean & cleaning rooms after tanners.

Employed or un-Employed. (My people called in "sick" today)

So those are our only 2 titles as of right now.

That all depends on who's asking...

If a customer or potential client asks, Im the owner/manager
If anyone is looking for money(salesperson,charity or solicitor)Im just a worker.(bed cleaner)LOL

Unless you own and operate multiple businesses, or your so filthy rich that you don't give a **** what's going on at your salon, then there are only two employees: you, and the bedwasher - and most of the time that is the same person. Hope this helps - probably dinnint. -Belvy
