Re: curious to salon owners' average rent

We don't pay rent anymore, so, I don't really have anything of "value" to add to this thread. (Like that's ever stopped me - hehe) Really though, don't "focus" on overhead - put your focus instead on "income"! Now, I know this sounds like another round of metaphysical BS from ole crazy Belvy; but seriously, focus more on the solution (customers!) and less on the problems (bills), and watch your problems just fade into the distance. Hope this helps. -Belvy

Re: curious to salon owners' average rent

ok-i'm feeling better- i have about 2000 sq feet and $2000 a month.
i was just asking incase i ever wanted to try and sell. i was wondering if a potential
buy would think that was crazy.
i'm gonna focus on the customers now!

Re: curious to salon owners' average rent

best thing to do is find out the average price per sq ft in your area...that will tell you if yours is low or high. basically pick up the phone and call rental propeties in your area and ask the rent price.........make sure its a retail spot similar to yours!

YOURS FORMULA EXAMPLE IS $12 PER SQ FT

$12 (PER SQ FT) X 2000 ( SQ FT OF SPACE) = $24,000 ( PER YEAR)

$24,000 DIVIDED BY 12 MONTHS = $2000 PER MONTH
