Rep Power: 0 | Who has a full time manager? We are just a single location salon, but I am thinking of bringing on a manager. Full time in the busy season, and part time in the off season. I haven't had any good applicants though. Does anyone else have a manager if you are a single location? |

Its hard to bring in someone new, never worked in the industry before, and throw them into management. Take applications, maybe run some ads, and just go from there. You have plenty of time to find someone and get them trained in. Just don't let your labor costs run sky high though, for a single location normally you don't need a full time manager with the owner being full time. |

When I needed some help this summer, I let her hire who she wanted and then SHE trained them. Being here all this time she knows my expectations and whenever the new girls messed up, I just went to her and she went to them. I called her the "mgr "and she was content with that. SHe knows I pay her more because she has been here so that seemed to satisfy her. That and the title. There are people out there that are motivated by things besides money. Just the title "mgr" does it for her. I am very good to her, and visa versa. |
