Rep Power: 18 | Wal Mart Lotion So......I have a lady that tans on a regular basis. COmes in around 2-3 times a week. Last week I see that she has a bottle of lotion that I do not recognize in her hand. Before she must have had it in her purse because I haven't see her with it before. I say "Hey Dawn, can I take a look at your lotion" She hands it to me. DEEP TAN. Wal Mart ****. I now realize that this is must be what she is using. I am irate, so I explain to her that these lotions are ban on our beds. I told her everything, the lotion clogs your pores, it dries your skin out. I even offer, if price is and issue I will give her something like Coco Beach for really cheap. JUST so she won't use this on my beds. I explain everything to her and she soesn't look all that interested in what I am saying. She looks at all the lotions that we have I tell her the advantages and what not. I tell her to try a pump tester today of the lotion I was pushing her with, on me!!! Free!!! Well she comes in Saturday to tan. I am crazy busy. I notice that she isn't carrying her bottle of crap but a purse with who know what in it. SO needless to say I am positive that she is still using it. Why?? Why do people have to be like that. No repect. Why pay for tanning if you are going to use junk on your skin. I can't be positive but I think. I even have on our waiver form when you sign up for tanning, I agree I shall not use any lotions not purchase from a Professional Tanning Salon, if you have any questions please ask. She signed it, initial the box and all. Is that hard to understand?? Okay guys, I need some help with this. What should I do? I like NEON's idea of a warning sign with the pictures of the lotions that can't be used in out tanning beds. (I say it in his gallery? Wish I could find the link, but....) Suggestions?................

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Wal Mart Lotion You need to post that you prohibit the use of non professional lotions, then you need to make sure you ask each and every customer when they come through the door "what lotion are you using" That way you'll know what they are using. And if they lie, then if you've had then sign something stating that you dont' allow those kinds of lotion then you have the right to refuse service, since that goop is damaging your beds. Yes you might lose a customer over it, but its worth losing that rather than acrylics. Offer to have her trade it in for something, we do $8 off a bottle if they trade it in. And when you know they have it with them, tell them you have to keep it at the counter, or else they'll use it anyway |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Wal Mart Lotion Yeah i had two newbies come in yesterday with ocean potion, just had went to walmart and bought it before coming here b/c they said the other salons in town let them use it. Well thats fine, but I"m not chaning my arylics every couple of months b/c of them using it. They understood, I gave them 30% off a bottle, and told them to return that to walmart to get their money back. Most people will understand, others well if they don't then thats too bad imo. I've had some that put it on at home before they come but I can still tell b/c of the film on the bed and the smell. I can smell that goop a mile away |

I have a girl who keeps sneaking in Baby Oil in...Baby oil please even my grandma stopped tanning with that in the 70's..... Another I have yet to figure out what she used but it took 6 towels and half a bottle of cleaner to get this thick white lotion of the bed.....I told her never to use it again (in nice words....) I would like to go to there house and jump on there bed with open paint cans placed on it then i'd jump up and down and see how they like getting it off.....Sorry I am in a bad mood..... but it would teach them |
