Re: Body Wraps

How many hundreds are they going to spend, when following the recommended guidelines? I too, was gunhoe when I first started, and I sold a lot. Nobody, I mean nobody, saw enough results that they wanted to continue with the ripoff sales pitch provided by the company. They just don't work for any length of time, and like I said initially, it's just a figment of their imagination. I've talked enough on this subject, so time to move on.

Re: Body Wraps

Guess we will agree to disagree.
There's a reason I have 89 loyal customers under me though!
Have a great day. Sorry it didn't work for you.

Re: Body Wraps

I see you just started carrying the wraps this month; It's amazing you have 89 loyal customers already. And you have pictures showing the results after just two weeks, now I do believe this is spam. Buyer beware is all can say in closing.

You guys are so negative it's scary!
Hope that negativity doesn't spill over into your business.
Best of luck.

Re: Body Wraps

We've got It Works wraps in our salon. I feel kind of "eh" about it. The problem with wraps is that people don't realize that they WILL NOT instantly make you skinny, nor will they cure you if you eat mcdonalds daily.
Will they improve your skin tone? Yes.
Do I have the energy to argue with people about it? No.
What we all need to remember is that we are a TANNING BUSINESS. I realized that it takes a lot of energy to defend something that isn't even tanning related. Bottom line is it's a good thing to have on the side, it does appeal to some clients. However, just remember that it is NOT your business priority, tanning is the priority!

Isn't this true of anything we sell including Tanning? How many people get out of a bed and say, "I didn't get anything". But we all know that you don't get a tan in 1 session. It is up to us to sell these accessory items or not. The best approach, I think, with anything you sell, is try it yourself. That is true with tanning equipment, spray tanning , massage, weight loss, red light, hydration, etc....If you try it first, you can see 1) does it work, 2) How to do it most effectively, 3) What it can do realistically, 4) What it can't do.

We have gone through this with stand-up beds, HP, face-tanners, spray tanning , red light and we will soon be doing it with a new massage unit that I recently bought. This is what we do when ever we introduce a new product or service;

1) Do your homework, read as much as possible about the unit and what experiences others have had with it.
2) Try it yourself.
3) Make a book of information about the service; find articles about it and print them and create summaries of the information and post them in areas in your store.
4) Make sure your employees try it and understand it-what a customer can reasonably expect to the get from the service and how long it will take.
5) Create a client waiver for the service; clearly explain what the service can do and that it will vary and that the customer is not holding you liable for different results. make them sign it before buying the service.
6) Don't promise the moon just to sell the product.

At the end of the day it is usually about 50 / 50 in terms of the customer following through with the service and the service itself. Every once in a while, as with anything, the customer follows through and doesn't get what they were expecting. Then you refund or give them something else of value-that my friend, is the retail business for you.

Re: Body Wraps

Well said Peach! We will never please EVERY customer! If you actually take the time to explain your services and what to expect and follow through with customers, they will have more realistic expectations.,

Re: Body Wraps

And 3 wraps isn't even a full treatment! It's like someone tanning 3 times expecting to be black! Spend the time with your customers and you'll earn their biz!
