Re: marketing

I've gotten a booklet called '121 new ways to market tanning' from UvaLux, no charge. Very good ideas in it. check out www.uvalux.com and go from there and you'll get the information

Re: marketing

Its on the Salon Success page, it basically gives a short overview what the manual is, and what else they offer, and then they give a phone number to call to either get more information, or to put in an order

Re: marketing

I thought 121 Ways was cheeze to the max. Some of the ideas are "USE POSTCARDS" and "SPEND A PERCENTAGE OF YOUR REVENUE." Well, duh, who the **** else's revenue would I be spending?

i definately agree some was horrible, but for someone just starting out (like me) it gave me some pretty good ideas as to where to start

Re: marketing

I'll admit it was one of the first thing I picked up after buying my salon... but it was silly.
I'm just 3 weeks in the biz too, y'know,

Re: marketing

So that being said, I finally clicked on the link Hollidawn posted at the top of this page. Holli, if you are brand new to running a biz and feel overwelmed with things like getting organized, I'd say go ahead and buy these. Its only $100. But if you know even the basics about keeping an office, calulating money in & out, etc, this might be a waste.
