Rep Power: 19 | Employee meetings How many of you have employee meetings? If you do, do you have them weekly, monthly? I now have 4 employees and we are having our first meeting tomorrow. I have 2 employees who are always at each others throats and when I'm not there they are calling me every 1/2 hour tattling on each other, 1 that is unhappy about her hours, and 1 who is...I really don't know...she's just clueless, I honestly don't know how she functions. I'm just about ready to fire them all and do it all myself. It would be much easier than having to deal with all their drama. |

Rep Power: 43 | Re: Employee meetings We have employee meetings approximately once every 2 months. We cluster it by function. Desk personnel who also handle the tanning appointments is a group of 7 people. All women... It is difficult to have a serious discussion sometimes. If I'm not careful, I'm the only one who does the talking. I have to get them to join in seriously. Ask questions, give them responsibility. It's amazing how much they have to ***** about eachother to me, but when they're in a group they avoid conflict. |

Rep Power: 43 | Re: Employee meetings Isn't that amazing??? I've stopped dealing with every issue and always say that if they have problems with another colleague, they should handle it themselves. If they addressed the issue and haven't been able to resolve it, they can come back to me. They hardly ever come back! :-) But the meetings are useful if it's work-related. Just to exchange information is good. |

Rep Power: 19 | Re: Employee meetings I'm actually having one today. I dont have them very often, but it seems like after the holidays when we are in our slow season, they seem to slack off and things are not done right. But after the meetings, things get back to the way things are supposed to b. Good Luck!

Rep Power: 57 | Re: Employee meetings Every 30 days. I let them pick the day and we order out for food which I pay for. I try to limit the meetings to 1 hour only. Anymore than that and I feel you loose their attention. My agenda is; Where have we been in the last 30 days. What do we expect in the next 30 days. A review of every employee's "rate of sales compared to hours worked" for the last 30 days. Hot topics. *** chewings if needed. Pats on the back where needed. Then, I give the floor to each employee to say anything they want. Suggestions, complaints, ideas, etc. I listen to it all. I let them talk freely. I always end the meetings on a positive note. |

Rep Power: 19 | Re: Employee meetings I had my meeting yesterday. I started out on a positive note (as ****** of as I was at them), and the one unhappy about her hours immeditaely started *****ing, so I told her we would talk about that privately - I didn't want to handle that in front of everyone else. It lasted an hour and a half. After we were finished I decided to take the beds apart and clean the reflectors and bulbs. I didn't get one of the bulbs back in good and it fell out and shattered all over the bed. horrible end to a bad week. |
