Rep Power: 0 | checking on salon remotely? Anyone out there have a system that they use to remotely view who's currently clocked in at your store(and make sure that they clock in\out on time) and what the current sales are for the day? I'd like to be able to see these and other information via the web when I'm not at the store. Thanks, MalibuTans |

There are web based cameras that you can view over the internet (Dlink has several). There are programs called 'VNC' that allow you to view the screen of a remote computer and control the mouse so you can pull up any report remotely that you can locally.

Rep Power: 0 | Re: checking on salon remotely? If you are running Helios, they offer a "Back Office" funtion that allows you to view any report on a certain computer using it's IP address. Also, you can view the screen of any computer using a program called the VNC. Again you need the IP address. Call Helios and ask them.

Programs listed above (PC Anywhere, GoToMyPC, Remote Desktop), with the exception of Helios Backoffice, take control of the computer that you are accessing from your remote location. Keep in mind that this station won't be available to be used by your employees during your connection period. If you are accessing a 2nd PC (like in your office that isn't used when you're not there) they all work great.
