employees on internet - tanTALK

I do not want my emplyees on the internet when they are working...I just dont know how to control this, as I have to use it for mc/visa...

I think that anything distracting from taking care of a customer is a no.no.

What is your opinion?

Doesn't your internet connection have a password option?

I often use IM's to communicate with them, and haven't found any evidence of abuse. Yet.

Nope. Younger employee's have a tendency to loose sight of what they are there for if you allow them to be distracted. They can consider surfing the net to be their primary job if you allow it. Then there's the problem with them downloading emails from their friends which usually contain a virus. Discovered one guy who was gambling on line for most of his shift.

It will all depend on what type of employees you have at the keyboard of course.

The Internet, when not abused, can obviously be a useful business tool, even for trusted employees.

I JUST HATE TPO THINK THAT THESE YOUNGUNS ARE SITTING ON THE INTERNET WHEN I AM NOT THERE. EVEN IF THEY ARE GOOD EMPLOYEES THE INTERNET IS A LURE...THESE KIDS, AND US, LOVE THE INTERNET

I HAVE TO CALL MY INTERNET PROVIDER I GUESS.
