Rep Power: 20 | Rate of Pay In Your Area... In the DC Metro area, I am getting the following... Average manager pay (w/1+ years of management experience), experience not necessarily directly related to the service industry, starting at $42,500 w/ guaranteed quarterly bonuses, and commission of 10% or more. Almost half are stating on their application or resume/cover **FEW NIGHTS, FEW WEEKENDS** a month. Average assistant manager pay, little to no experience, starting at $32,000 w/monthly bonuses, and commission of about 10%. Almost all state *WILLING TO WORK AN OCCASIONAL WEEKEND*. Tanning Consultant, minimal job experience, average age of applicant 15 years of age to 19 years of age, low hourly asking rate (about 1/4 of applicants) $7.50/hr, median (about 50% or a little more) $9.50/hr, and about $11/hr or more for the remainder plus (on average) 10% commission, and some ask as much as 20% on ALL SALES. Almost all of them state on their application *NO LATE NIGHTS, AND NO WEEKENDS*. Most state *NO SUNDAYS*, and about half state *NO FRIDAY NIGHTS*, and a few even state *CANNOT WORK WHEN THERE'S A FOOTBALL GAME GOING ON* What's your market HR situation like? |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Rate of Pay In Your Area... Seems we don't like this subject! I can only pay what I can afford, So when you hand out an application you state what you want. MUST WORK WEEKENDS, NO EXCEPTION! my employees don't actually work every weekend. I take that back I hired a gril for Sunday only, then she asked for more hours then wanted FRI< SAT & SUNDAY off. Pulled her application and showed her where it stated MUST WORK WEEKENDS & her application even said hired for sunday only! Gave her the choice work Sunday, and with more hours occasional Sat. with more week night after school or find someone to work around her new dream hour. MON-THURS 1-8pm. If it works for me okay, but don't count on it! I've beeb told in our area I could get a manager for $20-$25K for tanning salon, I'm actually thinking about it. I have someone in mind and I think she would work her butt off for $25K. Guess your scale for tans is higher than I get in my area too! And rent .... Everyone is going to put on their app. their dream hours, pay, I know I would. gives you something neg. you know what they really want and you know what you need, when they line up hopefully they will be the perfect employee! (only in my DREAMS) |

Once they R certified I will begin giving them commision on lotions. I teach them everything I know and keep them updated on all the latest and greatest and lotion information. They only work a few times a week otherwise I'm usually here. |
