Re: Reporting Cash

I wish we had started sooner. We missed the two expos in McDonough and Canton earlier this month. I'll definitely pass along our experiences. That's the best way to learn.

Re: Reporting Cash

145 seems steep for a dominant cash business, I've did the cash thing and the clean way 2 different times. Keep er clean....You will make lots of $$$ using a debit system.....really, really keep looking, eyes open, think a little bit more on it. If you take it keep it on the staright and narrow..imo

Re: Reporting Cash

He only claimes 59k and he wants over 100k for the business that seems REALLY high. My salons revenue was WAY higher and they pocketed cash I know for a fact and I bought for 60k in California the state of high EVERYTHING do your homework! p.s. if you plan on running it yourself for a while u can cut alot of your expenses !

Re: Reporting Cash

I do want to run it myself. I just want to know what I'm getting into money wise. I can make it work at 59K but it would be tight. I know most salons probably pocket some cash. He said the price is neg. so I'll be talking to him again today.

Re: Reporting Cash

I'll be leaving a FT job to do this so I'm just being really cautious I guess. I do have a family to think about

Re: Reporting Cash

I think the price is extremely high!!!! What does the salon have for equipment???? I just bouught a 2nd location last year that has 6 base units and 3 upgrade beds and claimed to be doing a little more than them for 40K!!!! And it was established for about 6 years!

Re: Reporting Cash

Check out the for sale section on this forum to get an idea of what the equipment is worth...my guess is about 10-12,000 total! That's not much considering the asking price. My 2nd store has ultrasun beds (1 jet 17,000 and 4 32 lamp w/3 face), and orbit, a perfect 10 suncapsule and 2 40 lamp suncapsules) My stuff is probably worth 22-26,000 and I paid 40k for the store!!! i would walk away or offer A LOT LESS!!!
