Rep Power: 113 | THREE different employees this week... Who "didn't know" they had to work. One even accused me of "writing her in" the schedule after it had been written. I'm so ****** off at them right now. Does anyone else have this problem??? The schedule is posted right in front of their freakin faces. Do I really need to babysit them and hand them individual schedules?? Are they all smoking too much weed?? What is the deal!?!?!

What I do is post the schedule in our communication binder that is located at our front desk. I also give each and every employee a copy. I do have one employee that I have periodic problems with. Her main thing is loosing her schedule, not taking her schedule with her (I ususally put them in their mail boxes), or she gets the times screwed up. It makes me laugh out loud a lot because her weekly schedule very rarely changes (she only works about 10 hours or so a week). I have never though haven't had someone not show up actually on the day that they were suppose to. | |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: THREE different employees this week... I put up a weekly schedule and have each employee sign it at the bottom. That way I know that they saw it, read it, and then signed for it. If they screw it up, at least it's documented with their signature if I end of having to fire them about it. Proof and backup for unemployment comp. also so you can justify the reason you had to let them go. |

Rep Power: 21 | Re: THREE different employees this week... I make a copy for everyone and put in an envelope with their paycheck. I also post one in the back. I have only had once where an employee didn't show up to work. She said her mom wrote the day wrong on her calendar. (She is 19 by the way) I said I don't care you get a written warning and next time you are firrrreeeedddd. She quite shortly after that. It amazes me how many people can't be responsible for their own work schedules. What is the world coming to? :) |
