Open on Christmas Eve????? - tanTALK

I am the manager at a salon and this is our first year open and my boss wants me to make the decision whether or not we are open on christmas eve which is on a saturday and we are already extremely slow on saturdays as it is. do most salons open on christmas eve? any opinions?

We are closed Christmas Eve & Day.

You would be crazy not to be open regardless of what day of the week it falls on. Christmas eve is usually a great money day. Not many tanners, but you will sell gift cards/certificates to all those last minute shoppers. From my own personal shopping habits, I know gift cards are the last things I pick up because you don't have to worry about them being sold out. Just my opinion, but I think it would be wise to be open for most of the day anyways. Good Luck.

OPEN..ALOT of Gift Certificates are sold for last minute shoppers....shorten hours..I will be open 9-2

We too shall be open but just from 10 to 2. First year with Gift Cards. Hope they sell.

We will be open regular business hours....10am to 6pm.

We will be open regular business hours...10am to 6pm regardless of if we are busy or not. We feel that being consistant is important in business. We will only be closed on Christmas Day obviously, but if I knew that a large majority of our customer base would come in and tan and that they would be purchasing tans and retail I would be open on Christmas Day as well.
