Rep Power: 19 | Someone broke into our salon around 1-2 in the morning the other night. They tried to get in with a crow bar and suceeded in screwing up my lock. I guess that failed, so they busted in our glass door and took off with the 50 bucks that was in the register (and my change drawer!!). Luckily, we have an alarm and I think that's what scared them away from stealing any lotions. Another salon a few blocks away got robbed the same night, but they got completely wiped out. Lotions and everything. Thank God for alarm systems. |

Rep Power: 22 | Sorry to hear that. Just a thought, I make sure that I leave my cash draw open at night and the lights on this way they can see that there is no cash on the premises. Also the store is visible from the outside. |

Rep Power: 143 | I don't keep cash in the drawer either. And definitely an alarm. My alarm system not only calls the police but also mine and my husbands cell phones. (we live 3 min. away) |

Rep Power: 0 | We got robbged this year too. Leave your drawer open so they can see there is no cash and put some "bait cash" in a visible place in a lock box. They are leaving with something. Better to be the bait cash ($50-$100) for the next days drawer than to have them take the drawer, computer, monitor and anything else needed to run the store. The guy who robbed us was caught on our cameras and busted after the Police reviewed the video. It still cost us $750 in glass repair. R |
