Haven't used htem, but I sent a few emails about some beds, and got responses that the beds were not for sale, were not there, or were already sold. I think a good web site should be up to speed as to what is actually available and not, and update the site accordingly. Plus, I think the site is OK, but needs some work as far as the way it gives the results from a search.

Other than that, seems like a good business model, flat feee to put beds on it for sale, until they sell.

Re: 2ndsuntan used equipment

First, Sorry to hear about your issues.

What did 2nd Sun Tan do wrong? You did not buy the beds for them. They are just a listing site. You issues were with the seller.

This happens all to frequently in this industry. Tanning beds are very tricky to ship if you do not know what you are doing.

Re: 2ndsuntan used equipment

RobertK is correct that this is a listing service where multiple sellers can put their equipment. Some good -- some not so good.....

Some "bad" sellers may be using it as a cover, to help them move equipment that would be hard for them to do under their own names, because of reputation issues.

Unfortunate for all sides....

Re: 2ndsuntan used equipment

Its unfortunate that their preferred payment is check or wire transfer, they do not accept credit cards. This does not provide the buyer with protection. If they at least offered CC payment, you could dispute it and then the CC company would be on their backs.

It allows an opportunity to do business without any of the risk associated with unsatisfied customers. From my experience, I would never do business with them again.
