Do you require your clients to clean their own beds, or do you have a dedicated bed cleaner?

How much do you pay your bed cleaner?

How many hours a day do they work?

What is the age group you hire for bed cleaner?

Curious.

We are in regulated state and our law requires that we clean the beds. The only time I have dedicated bed cleaners is during busiest time of the year. I pay them minimum wage plus free tanning and lotion discounts. I normally don't hire anyone under 17. Also, they know when they are hired that it is seasonal and they will be phased out as our numbers decrease.

actually right now we have our customers clean them before and after they tan...we always walk around though and make sure they are cleaned...and actually i think our customers prefer this...i have had people thank me for letting them clean there own bed...couple salons around town clean the bed themself but come to find out a couple of them dont clean them as good as they should be.

We clean the beds, but I don't have a dedicated bed cleaner...only 5 beds, we can keep up.

Although we clean them, we provide cleaner and towels in the rooms just in case someone wants to clean it again. Also, some people like to wipe sweat pools out before they leave.

good idea...more salons need to do this...i would never trust some of the highschool girls that work at most salons to actually clean the bed really good...

we let our customers clean their own beds, because most of them clean it before they get in anyway for safety sake.

I have no problem with them cleaning it again before they use a unit, but we always clean it ourselves after a session even if they tell us they did so already.

IMO, every respectable salon should do it for their clients, if they want to do it again, have at it.
