Rep Power: 20 | I'm thinking about putting a grade card in each employee's pay envelope this week. It would show how much that employee sold in product for the past month, how many customers they helped, and give their P/PCA (product per client average). There would also be a range of P/PCA's on the side for them to look at for their grade. The grading system would be $6.00 and up - A+ (reward time) $5.00 to $5.99 - A $4.00 to $4.99 - B (expected level) $3.00 to $3.99 - C $2.00 to $2.99 - D $0.00 to $1.99 - F I have 10 employees and 8 of them are in some sort of schooling. So I thought the letter grades on how they're doing would be right down their alley. The reason I'm doing it is for motivation purposes and to let some know their close to retirement. Has anyone ever tried this type of thing to spur sales on among employees? Do you think it would work? |

Rep Power: 0 | Tanya, I believe Oasis is trying to work off another figure--not their total sales per week, but the average per client for a given period, probably a week. That is to say, the total of the lotion sales for a given clerk, divided by the number of customers that clerk served. It's a better indicator of the individual sales consistency. That kind of averaging is often used in restaurants to determine who is upselling and who is just getting lucky once in a while... |

Rep Power: 20 | That's right SwedaGuy. I was trying to get an average for the month of April. Tanya here's an example of how my figures would run for one employee. Employee helped 461 customers in April. She sold $2004.25 worth of product total in April. Her P/PCA for April came out to be $4.35. So she would have a grade of a 'B'. Trying to get the employees to realize how important it is for us, as well as for the customer, to sell the lotions. |

Rep Power: 24 | Thats what we do DWhite. I keep each girls notebook and calculate their averages per client coming in the door. It does sound high schoolish, but I put smiley or frown stickers depending on what type of night they had. I alo comment on what they did and what they might want to try next time. |
