I just have a quick question, if you are sick, does your boss have the right to drive by your house a number of times to see if you are there, and phone repeatedly to see if you are there?

Hm? the link works for me. Try to copy it and paste into the browser address bar. If you get there, you'll have to look for the answer you want.

I would think however, if the employer provides you with paid sick days, they might have the right to confirm you are sick. Not sure though.

Well I know I don't get paided for sick days. I understand that doctors note (i'm the only one that needs a doctors note when I'm sick), but to drive by my house and phone me all day long, I think that is an invation of privacy!

I really can't believe this, as a boss you can sit outside your employees house and make sure they stay home all day if you want, meh I never thought in a million years.

Neon thanks for your help, I ended up phoning the labour board here, but they told me its a human right issue, so I phoned them and they told me he can do that, as long as its not discriminating, like if I had a disability.
