Rep Power: 0 | SunCapsule just brought their new 7 minute unit out yesterday for us to try. That booth rocks! I am still amazed at the color I got in just seven minutes. They have a distributor 2 hours from us. Hubby and I are heading there in the morning. I just can't believe this macine! |

Rep Power: 22 | I agree, the new super sonic Capsule really does a job. You might have to change the lamps in as little as 200 hours, but who cares if you can pocket upwards to $15,000 on a lamp change. I think 7 minutes is really too long of a session. Just 5 minutes is all you need if you have a nice base. |

Rep Power: 25 | Personally, I would like to get my tan in negative 2 minutes. I want to just VISUALIZE the color and have it. I am going to build a salon of all 5 min or less beds. New customers will start at 47 seconds and build their base up to the full 5 minutes. We'll have 15 beds and be able to see 2200 people per day. We will install a moving sidewalk down the center aisle so they can get in and out faster to increase turnover. Ideally, someone will come up with a lotion dispenser like a car wash so they can put in a code as they enter and we'll spray them down with their lotion choice as the sidewalk moves them to their room to tan!! OK....while I hate 20 min beds for customers AND salon owners, I DO think 5 and 7 mins are a little crazy too for a quality, safe, satisfying result. Is there a point where we have gone too far with driving down the tanning time? |

Rep Power: 0 | ahh. you are spuncky this morning! I think it just has to do with wattage. I dislike standups because I feel silly standing there with my eyes closed for 8 minutes. I would use a stand-up if it was only 3 minutes...I can't imagine that as being good for me! Maybe I should start doing calf raises or something...but 8 minutes seems like eternity to me standing there... _________________ Any Advice given please consider the size of your market![ This Message was edited by: DWhite6872 on 2005-03-05 22:52 ] |

Rep Power: 25 | You are just jealous that YOU didn't think of the moving sidewalk and car wash lotion dispenser idea first!!! I don't like standups either, and could SURELY use the exercise of standing in one for a few minutes a day and doing some calf raises! But also, I think there is a point where a "good result" can be compromised in favor of a "fast result". These particular booths may all give great results, but I hope the manufacturers aren't trying to gain speed over performance. Some things are better when they take a little longer!! (but sadly for Neon, this is a family-rated forum, so I'll stop my analogy right there.....) |
