A customer got something that I absolutely can not get off the acrylic. Looks like a white haze on the acrylic. Any ideas what I could use to get it off the acrylic without hurting the acrylic. Any info would be great thanks

I use Novus with an electric buffer (cotton terry cloth pad) at slow speed. Works for scratches too.

I do the same thing with the electric buffer Jim. Used to have a detailing buisness while in college linked to my area BMW dealership. Works sooo much better than just using your elbow grease on it.

A white haze??? That sound like some type of alcohol or bleach?? The reason I think so....I sprayed Lysol Disinfectant on my phone, when I opened the next morning, it had a white film (non-removable). I wonder which lotion or perhaps a hair/body spray would cause this ????

I had the same problem once. It turned out that a client used Waterproof Bullfrog Sunscreen on her whole body while tanning! Ack! Before I found out from the client, I just couldn't figure out what would cause such a nasty white film! It was almost like a glaze, and the more I scrubbed, the worse it seemed to get!

I ended up replacing the acrylic, since it was almost time to replace it anyway. I would have hated wondering if there was SPF residue on the acrylic, preventing the UV Rays from reaching our clients.
