I am in the market for a high pressure bed for my salon. i have come across an Ultrabronz 818 that has about 4500 hours on it and they are asking $4,400 for it. I dont know anything about the Ultrabronz beds, so I have no idea if this is a good deal or not? Need Help!

Yes..this is an okay price for this bed if its in good condition...but a couple of this to bear in mind. Check whether they are including the transformer in the sale...(thats about $1200 to buy)....& the transformer is big...who's paying the shipping?. Does it need to be relamped??...its gonna need 18 1000w high pressure lamps (about $85 - $100 a piece) so thats an additional $1500 - $1800 in lamps. What condition is the filter glass in?...& also the mattress. Just A few pointers. Hope that helps.

We have an UltraBronz 818. It is usually booked and is a nice bed. It is an older bed, but no one seems to mention or mind. I'd buy it depending if its in good condition.

I forgot to mention that Ultrabronz is THE original High pressure manufacturer. They really are great work horses...I had 2-812's (which has 2 rows of lamps, unlike the 818 that has 3 rows. They do suck up alot of electricity though, so be sure if you go with it, to make sure you are charging a good price per session. The great thing is, it doesn't matter how fair anyone is, you can pretty much put anyone in it, & no worries about burning..& just about everyone gets color immediately from it.

We say the expected life of our lamps are 750 hours but we have many customers getting 1000+.
