Rep Power: 23 | a father came in today..ripped me a new one. said daughter didnt have permission to tan and if i didnt give her $50 back he'd sue me cause she's a 15 yr minor and no tanning sess refunds doesnt apply to minors. #1 i checked her history her mom signed for her to tan in 2002 they both have been tanning ever since. #2 he mentioned * she should know better i was just diagnosed pre skin cancer. #3 I have signs stating no refunds on tanning...store credit only any suggestions...im going to call the mom before he comes back fri. |

Rep Power: 20 | So you let the girl tan when she was 13??? I wouldnt give a refund. He isnt going to get a lawyer over it. One thing of concern - how much is this guy going to bad mouth you around town if you give him the money or if you dont. I imagine he will moan regardless of what you do so keep the $50. |

Rep Power: 23 | 1)her mother signed her up at 13 pre-cruise tanning. 2)i offered a $50 store credit (i sell swimwear and jewerly etc) 3)other customer who was here said father is an a** ...they have a boat and he's on it all summer (note where he got skin cancer) 4) i can ban her from tanning here as long as she uses real name...he cant stop her from sneaking to other salons that wont monitor her....fair skin red hair...same kid that gives me crap for not letting her do full sessons. 5) days like this make me wanna back up and surrender. |

Rep Power: 28 | Let the mother and father work it out. You offered a 'store credit' Should he come back in, advise him of prepping the skin prior to outdoor activities and you feel his "red hair, fairskined daughter" needs it more than others, as she will burn serverly outdoors, without prepping |

Rep Power: 0 | Mother signed in 2002? Maybe this is a good reason to update information yearly. Wouldn't change his actions but would sound a lot better if you had a more recent consent. I too would call and talk to the mother since she is responsible for bringing her in. Based on that conversation I would decide what to do if anything regarding refund. What is "pre skin cancer"? |
