Rep Power: 0 | Two questions: 1. I have not accepted credit cards at my home airbrush tanning business. I am getting into selling more retail and I would like to begin taking cards. I don't want a lot of overhead though. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good company to contact, there are so many. I originally thought about just doing the imprinter and then calling in for verification, but the lowest price I found for call in was a %, then a minimum monthly, then another fee on top of that per transaction and a monthly fee. 2. I want to order some standard small shopping bags with my logo on them, any ideas on a good company for that. Thanks for all of your help. |

Rep Power: 0 | On the credit cards, get a machine....seriously...I investigated this avenue when we started our other business a few years ago. Over there, I still only take 2 or 3 credit cards a month, so I thought it would be OK, but the rates were RIDICULOUS...7% + $1.00 per trans, + 20.00/month "statement fee" + the minumum. You can get a cheap machine on eBay, just make sure you get one that is compatible with the service you want to use. I would suggest: Drew Boatner with Heartland Payment Systems 423-667-4690 (cell phone, you can reach him any time) drew.boatner@e-hps.com Tell him Dylan, from PRS sent you...our other business is POS and related equipment, so we've developed a good working relationship with him. As far as bags go, I have a source for that, but I've got to remember what it is first I'll try to get back to you! |

Rep Power: 0 | For the custom-imprinted shopping bags, the minimum order was always quite high everywhere I looked. What we ended up doing was ordering stickers from a print shop with our logo on it. We placed these stickers on some really nice handled boutique bags I found. Yeah, there was still a minimum order for the stickers, but I found that I had more uses for the extra stickers! |
