lotion sales - tanTALK

I work in a smaller city, and there are many nights where we only get about 40 tanners all day, from 7 am to 11 pm. For the last month I have been selling about one lotion per 8 hour shift. Is this good or are other salons selling more? If you're selling more, what are your approaches? Thanks!

That is above average for my salon (this time of the year anyway).

Ask each client are they using a lotion, have they seen the products you have, have you told them about them.
If they know all the above and/or dont use lotion, give them a free sample to try.
Sell them on the benefits of using indoor tanning lotions and the benefits of using salon sold moisturizer .

you can figure it on your % of sales....we are 30%+ in busy season and 20ish in off season

offer them incentitives to buy a bottle.Like a free upgrade !

On lotions I want to move I have been giving tanning sessions away with its purchase.
