Resource Center? - tanTALK

wouldn't it be nice if there was a resource center on this site where we could all post things that we would like to share with other salon owners? This could include marketing materials, employee handbooks, signs, and anything else that we might use in our salons.

I think you missed my point Genius. I'm well aware of the search function. What I'm referring to is a section we could go to if I was looking for an employee handbook for intance. I could look at all the handbooks that have been posted to get ideas for mine, download it, make any changes to it that I wanted and instantly have a handbook. Or maybe I am looking for ideas for a postcard or flyer. I could find one that I like and customize it to suit my salon. Most of us use common programs to develope these pieces so customizing something from the site would not be to difficult.

However, since the industry is not standardized, and varies greatly from state to state, it would be difficult to have info that was valid for everyone. I have been able to take generic forms and flyers and modifly them for my own needs graciously shared by salon owners who are interested in raising the industry standards.
AS far as the marketing goes...We do share ideas, but as some of our competition monitors this site as well, some of us are careful as to what we are will to put out there. And, there are some "Gripmarketing" who actually support this site with excellant advice. If you are looking for instant gratification, that might be difficult...but stay tuned!

Are you kidding? Even Google indexes this site almost daily and pulls answers with almost no problem. I mean, you think it's gunna keep people from screaming about their skin failure sun spots even if the answer is tattooed to the site?

People are stupid.

Neon, I know it's early in the morning here...but, IMHO, I do not like the "search function" on this site...(Too slow)...Thank you for clarifying the definition of cumbersome, which confirms my description.
