Rep Power: 0 | I was in the pet stote the other day and they've come out with the coolest desk aquariums. They hold one betta fish. They were beautiful. Very upscale....not your normal fish bowl. A small but beautiful metal stand sculptured out of leaves. Anyhow I wanted one right then but came home to try and find them online. This would be a perfect gift for christmas for just about anyone. I'm going to set one up on my desk with a fish and the decor to match my salon. And the guy at the pet store said they could not keep them on the shelves. The company is looking for me a distributor if anyone is interested. Store is retailng them for 27.99 which this store has a super high markup. |

Rep Power: 23 | I had a betta at the front desk - because the salon temperature changes from hot, cold, cool and warm the little guy was stressed. At night, AC and/or heat is off...his water was cold in the a.m. As the day went on, his water got warmer. According to the pet store...this was not healthy. I decided to bring him home, it is a constant 68 degrees. After four years he passed away. Very sad day. I guess if you're going to have fish - a tank with properly controlled heaters, lighting, etc. may keep your fish alive longer. Just my opinion. Let's hear from others who have fishes...I could be wrong. |

Rep Power: 0 | We have a 55 gallon tank. Everyone seems to really enjoy it, it's a nice addition to the salon. We hired a company to come in once a month to maintain the tank & keep the fish healthy & happy. So far so good... |

Rep Power: 23 | 100 Gallons? Salt water, fresh? Do you have any pics. I wanted an indoor fish pond (bought the whole kit and kaboodle) but decided too much work. Do you have a "finding nemo" fish? I wanted to do a tank of Sea Horses but....they eat live brime shrimp. Sooo I need another tank to breed the food to feed the fish! Interesting little critters. _________________ [ This Message was edited by: K-tina on 2004-11-08 17:33 ] |
