You can make money in this biz but you aren't going to make 100K unless and until you have been in the industry for several years with several salons. Do a lot of research before you quit that hated 100K job. I don't mean to be discouraging but it takes a love of what you are doing and a whole lot of work to succeed in this business. RESEARCH!! |

Rep Power: 21 | The best thing for you to do is before you jump the gun. See if you can work part time at a salon (if you are not already) to see if you'll like it. If so, then I would say possbily start a salon up, but still keep your day time job. Owner a salon is not a get rich quick business. It takes a lot of hard work and sometimes that isn't even enough. We just opened up a small salon in our town this pass March. I know it is not something that I'll get rich on. But as long as the bills are paid and we have a few dollars in our pockets that's all that counts. Right now every $$$$ we make is going back into the business. |
