Tanning Free, Is that included as party of Pay? - tanTALK

When you allow your employees to tan, is that included as part of their pay, or do you just consider that an extra benefit. Can a service be added to the $ of their pay to bring their pay scale up?

We offer free tanning as a benefit if they are on duty (busy season). During slow season, since I won't need the extra help they get 50% off any tanning package or session.

I consider it a little bit of frosting added to the job. But I'm sure if uncle sam came snooping around they would concider it as part of their pay, and would have to be reported that way.

They are your best form of advertisement. Let them and their spouses tan for free. Its amazing how many ppl have ended up tanning because they work with a spouse of one of my employees.

We let them tan free, have them use the upgrade beds, and lotion for free. We used to sell lotion at 50% discount, but had an employee buy cheap drugstore lotion instead. The first time someonne asked her what she used, I decided to make free lotion part of the perk, and I've sold a lot more lotion because they use what they like, not what's cheapest and when the client asks what they use, I can breathe easy.

It is considered an extra, we also provide free tanning lotion. They are the folks selling the stuff, they need to know the results. They also get discounts if they want to purchase their own lotion and discounts on retail items.
