I just switched from Mind DC to Cal Care to clean my acrylics. The instructions say 2 oz per gallon for disinfecting but then they also say 8 oz per gallon for heavy duty. Do you think 8 oz is too strong for those with sensitive skin?

I think 8 ozs is alot. I just do the recommended 2 ozs per gallon and it works out great.

We use both the big jug and the EZ dose it's. The EZ dose its are awesome because there is no measuring and no spilling! But they are a bit more expensive - you pay for the added convenience.

You need to "QC" each "batch" of cleaner you make up with the "test strips" to make sure that you have >700 ppm.

Good point, Don. Also, some states require that you keep quat test logs. Upon salon inspection, they will look for them - at least in Texas that is the case.

I would not use anymore than 4 oz. per gallon, or else people will start having skin reactions to the disinfectant.
