Rep Power: 21 | I am doing some advertising for Valentines Day but also trying to get the customers for the starting of the season. This will be my first busy season as I have only been open since November. My pitch was as follows: Looking for a great gift for that special someone? How about a gift certificate from Jamie's TanFastic, no sizes or favorite colors to remember. And the bottom stated something about Spring being around the corner. My husband does not like this idea, he would like more of a poem.... We also have a place called Cookies by Design and instead of flowers in a boquet they make it up with candy (very cute). Well I thought about making something for women or guys, a boquet with tanning lotion samples (maybe one bottle) DS Love Junkie, Neurotic ect.. Is that a good idea or too much money and not worth it? Please Help!!! |

Rep Power: 22 | I do not pitch it, most folks tell their purchaser what they want, but when they come in we suggest add ons, like a tanning lotion, moisturizer and goggles, and salt scrub if they want to spend that much. We will put it all in a clear bag, for carrying it all..and walaaaa.. a gift they will remember and something they will need, when coming in to tan. |

Rep Power: 22 | I agree it is a good pitch. This is going to be our first Sunday open. I usually do not do that many specials or flyers. Good God I dont beleive im about to do this. On the advice of TE today I had my first ever flyers printed up. Super bowl special. "Ladies leave your husbands, boyfriends and or kids at home. Come and spend a few minutes with us. All single visits 1/2 price. Specials on packages and lotion." I also got these ideas from this site but dont know from who. I hope it goes well. |

Rep Power: 107 | Depends on what you paid for it and how desparate you are to sell it. In my opinion, if your sale can bring in new clients that will stick around for the long term, then great, however, I've found that specials for these types of days don't really pay off. Sometimes just some simple ads reminding people you are there and what you have to offer over the competition work just as well. But, 10% off shouldn't be a killer, so give it a try. |
