Decline in customer base. - tanTALK

From looking back at last years books I have noticed a drop off. I was seeing 75 people this time last year and now I am seeing 35.
Is anyone else getting a slow start, or should I be concerned.

All metrics are increased from last January.

Slight increase in traffic, but our revenue per tanner has increased greatly from last year.

im getting off to a slow start as well, but from the years past that usually means just a later season.at least from my experience..

Ditto With tanme - differnet years it starts at different times. I have alos found that you so excited about getting busy that the wait will kill you. Do you thing and wait, if you have a good salon things will go your way.

I am in a military town, so in 2002 we did see a flux of new customers, but in 2003 our customer base did go down, but miraclously we did have increase in sales this year. I cant complain. We are suppose to have alot of soldiers coming home the next 2 months, so I hope to see sales soar up again for a little while, until the next group leaves out.

I am seeing 70-80 right now about the same as last year alittle bit up in sales this year.

This is not a game this is business...check your reports often and pay attention. make adjustments accordingly.

Here at my salon it picks up within a matter of days. I can be seeing 35 one day and within a 5 day period be seeing 65 tanners. Year before last it did not pick up until February, but last year it picked up in January. I have never thought of my business as a game, but if I did I would play to win!
