Rep Power: 23 | I have a problem with solicitors coming into my salon...from the guy with the cleaner that you can use to get out your hardest stains and drink it too...to your local wholesale guy who trys to sell me everything under the sun...also in the group are those trying to sell me advertising...I am getting so sick of it.... I have finally stopped telling them I was Owner/Manager so that way they just leave information without hassling me....I have told them many no so mnay times but they just keep coming week after week; month after month...If I wanted their product or service I would have contacted them... How do you all handle those annoying solicitors..I hate to be mean but sometimes that is the only way they get the point... |

Rep Power: 23 | tanmonster...tried the NO Solicitors sign...they just walk right past it as if though they did not see it..Grrrr! One of my employees who is a little more blunt than myslef always asks for their solicitors license(?) she says most of them just walk right back out the door when she makes mention of it, so I think I will try use that next time... You all do not have a problem with these people??? _________________ [ This Message was edited by: BronzeBabe on 2003-11-26 13:44 ] |

Rep Power: 25 | They never quit........I have "no solicitors" on my doors and they still come in, they say they are not soliciting they are wholesaling. I am very short with them and plain tell them to leave or I will call cops, seems like it is way easier than trying to be polite. |

Rep Power: 107 | Kick them out, call the cops? That would be like one of my clients calling the cops on me because I'm trying to upsell. They maybe annoying, but they or the people they know could be one of your future clients. Maybe I haven't experienced the same types of salesman, but you gotta keep it "polite" but firm. |

Rep Power: 21 | [Sometimes ypu need to be rude with them becouse being polite and asking to leave does not help... Of course, ask them for their vendor license, if they do not, collect their names and report to RIS. These assholes never know how to work hard exept selling their junk!!!! |
