Rep Power: 21 | The ones around here average $20.00 a month which comes out to 240.00 a year for standard beds. You could call around and check your competitors and see what they are charging. It depends on the area. We don't do it yey but I am thinking about it! |

Rep Power: 107 | $240 a year? Based on the average tanner taking in 11 bed sessions per month for 12 months, that's only a $1.82 per session. How can you make a living? I'm about to try a 6 month package. $74.95 for first month and initiation fee, then $37.95 for the next five months. |

Rep Power: 24 | We see our year for $250. You have to look at the whole picture though. They may tan 15 times 8 months and only 8 for the other 4. I've had clients tan 200 times in a year and others tan only 80. It all balances out in the end and if you can get them to pay up front in just money in the bank! |

Rep Power: 107 | I am currently selling one month memberships in 3 formats. $19.95 gets you in and then it's $2.75 per bed session when you come in. The most expensive, $39.95 to sign up then $.93 per bed session. I have done some math, and not very good at math, but I've taken the number of these Memberships sold divided by the total number of sessions used which then gives me the average sessions used out of the possible 25 that they are allowed per month. Statistically this tells me that the average Membership holder is using 11.01 bed sessions per month. Now you take the bucks you have taken in and see what you are actually getting per session. You have to average everything based on the total term of the membership, statistically, you should be getting somewhat near what you charge for pkgs. of 5, 10, 15 and so on bed session packages. Quite frankly I can generate more revenue from bed sessions by selling packages of 10 or more, but what the public wants, the public gets. The only advantage to locked in memberships is getting clients to sign up just prior to the off season, then, with any luck they will continue to honour their Membership agreements and continue to pay for something they will likely not use. |

Rep Power: 107 | P.S. It maybe money in the bank, up front, however, according to your stats, you are only averaging $1.65 per session? Why not drop the Membership and charge them $2.50 per session right from the get go? Does $1.65 cover your hydro costs, wages, lamp usage and so on and so forth? I suppose if you had a 1000 clients signed up it would be looking pretty good for the year. |
