Rep Power: 23 BronzeBabe will become famous soon enough
Last night I was at Wal-Mart (HATE this store, only one open past 10pm) to get some odds and ends and I ran across Body Mist for $.94 WOW! I smelled them and for that cheap I was surprised that they smelled so nice so I picked up enough for all the tanning rooms...does anyone else provide body mists for their clients?
Would you type anything up and put it on the mists so they do not walk away (kinda like...Property of _____...Rooms are checked after each session, if any items are missing you will be charged for that product next time you come into tan, etc. etc. etc.) or would you just put them in the rooms and see if they walk off?
Thanks

I dont because I sell it in the salon, I do tell clients about it, and most of my lunch time tanners buy them. I am leary of body sprays, because of the overspray that can get on the acrylic of the tanning beds. We have a vanity in the salon for clients, it has facial wipes and deodorant for the male and female clients, but not in the rooms.

HI PAT!! How have you been???
Yeah I think I will be alright leaving them in the rooms, we have hand and face wipes and deodarant and neither of these have walked off, although sometimes the goggles seem to disappear. I am not to concerned with the acrylics because as soon as they leave the room someone is in there to clean it up.
How much do those Body Invest sprays cost you?

You dont normally have problem with the salon sold body sprays, the alcohol content is lower than the normal spray. I am not only saying the acrylic, the bed itself, we wipe the whole bed down when clients leave from top to bottom.

So do we so the concern of build up is never an option. It only takes a few extra minutes and tou fell confident that your bed is clean from top to bottom. Sounds like a great cheap way of putting body spray in the rooms.

I would have proabaly bought a better brand (bath and body works) but I want to make sure they do not walk away, and to see if customers like the convenience before purchasing the more expensive brands, either way the ones from walmart are good smelling so in the end they may end up being my pick , depending on how quickly customers go through it!

My husband says i spoil my clients to much. We use to have along with the other amenties on the vanity, moisturizer , but one day, someone took a brand new bottle, so that was removed and never put back. We put a towel and sucker on the bed, we do not provide goggles anymore, they kept on growing legs. When I started making everyone buy them, the money I have made on goggles and winkease is crazy, just had to place another order today. The body spray thing is kool, I just have come to the conclusion, the more you give the client the more they want. I say sell them some if they want it, it is as easy to sell as the lotions. The ones made by the different lotion manufactors have good things in them, alot of them will help maitain the tan, and soften the skin, not dry it out like the ones from other places. Enough said.

Just a little advice. I would consider putting body sprays into the rooms that "you" sell or have one at the vanity area or restroom in your salon. This way if someone digs the fragrance or just wants one for themselves you aren't saying "Well I got that at Walmart" instead you can say sure I've got them for $$$. I would also avoid putting bath and body works products into your salon for client use. By doing that you are really hurting yourself when it comes to after-tan product sales. Your clients will think "Hey they have that at my salon, I should just pick up my moisturizer from Bath and Body Works too. Try not to line someone elses pocket with $$$ that could be yours.
