I JUST FOUND OUT TODAY A LONG STANDING CUSTOMER HAS JUST THIS WEEK STARED CHEMO.TANNED THIS INDIVIDUAL AND FOUND OUT AFTERWARDS. THIS IS A CUSTOMER THAT LOVES TO TAN. HOW DO WE APPROACH THIS DELICATE SITUATION .

You don't...you ask her to bring something from her doctor giving his permission, that you must keep on file. Same as a pregnant client.

In Canada there is no regulation stipulating permission required, either for cancer patients or pregnant women. We have several cancer patients tanning with us, both currently receiving treatment and previously receiving treatment. We reccomend they talk with their oncolgist first and take their advice but altimately it is the clients decision. Some of them, and I kind of agree, believe if they feel better about themselves they will get better, the mind is the most powerful healing tool there is.
