Rep Power: 22 | Don, We are are new and have been trying to get all the information for opening a new salon before we leave this week. Anyway we read this post.... Melty: Try the Wolff Eurosun S3 sunlamp. It has low UVB (1.6%); VERY low UVA2 (2%); and the highest UVA1 (96.4%) of any LP sunlamp we have tested. It is an excellent tanning sunlamp with one of the highest TAS (tanning action spectrum) scores we have had for a LP sunlamp. However, it is best to use with clients who are darkening and maintaining their tan and not those just starting out. Hope this helps. Don Our Question is why is this lamp not good for people starting out. Is it to strong, we thought a lamp low in UVB would be good for people starting out. |

Rep Power: 26 | Jeni & Mike: Welcome to the Ask Don forum! You need a certain amount of UVB to stimulate the production of melanin and the Eurosun S 3 is "borderline" in this aspect. The S 3 is a great "bronzing" sunlamp, especially if clients alternate between a sunbed with the S 3 and a sunbed with a little higher UVB percentage. For an entry level sunbed, the Wolff Velocity is a good alternative and I still like the old "tried and true" Bellarium S. I hope this helps. Don |
