I am planning on doing a dueces are better deal. tanning lotion and moisturizer for one price. I am also doing a stocking stuffer special where we will create a stocking stuffed with the items you choose and decorative tissue paper. Lets get creative I want to hear the other ideas out there. |

Rep Power: 0 | You are right it is time to get this stuff out there in front of our market. WalMart and the malls sure do have Christmas everywhere. Let's all work together and get some great promos going. Unique-I like the idea of the dueces. Put it in a decorative bag with some squiggly paper and a cute hang tag...Hmm, Think I have to get on that. Pam |

Rep Power: 28 | I had a great response on the stocking stuffers last year. I got some toule and ribbons at walmart. Place a free tan coupon, tan lotion pkt. and viewkeepers in them. charged 10.00. Makes a great inexpensive gift for co-workers, etc.. Got me some new clients for the rest of the year. |

Rep Power: 0 | Mitzi, Was your coupon for 1 free tan or multiple? Also, what price range of lotion sample--Base or more advanced? Last year our coupons were for 3 visits and I put 6 month expiration on them. This year I will do 3 month expiration and 2 visits with lotion packet. I have even thought of doing a full size bottle of a base building lotion. We sell a lot of Florida Rays which is very reasonably priced..gotta think on this some more. Pam |

Rep Power: 22 | You could always do like they do at the larger dept. stores and do a display table. You could put empty gift wrapped boxes in differents sizes on a table as a backdrop for your monthly special or your great christmas gift ideas. It would be really neat to do a monthly special where you have ornaments on a tree and with each monthly special purchased you pick an ornament off of the tree and each ornament would represent a free tanning gift or a savings to be used in the salon. I know you can get ornaments that open up and you can place pieces of decorative paper inside saying what the customer received. The salon has a decorated tree and you have a bright idea for salon promotions. I am using this for the first time this year and I am excited to see how it does. Brandi |

Rep Power: 0 | I am doing something similar to what I did last year. I made a calendar page on my computer for the month of December and listed all the specials on it. There was a new one day special every day and it could only be purchased that day. We printed a ton of these and handed them out at the salon staring in mid Novemer. This year I have the more popular specials rinning for 2 days in a row and got rid of the duds. My sales for December 2001 were up 25% over 2000. Keep in mind this was right after 9/11 and most businesses were not doing well. I thought that if I want them to spend their money here, I might as well help them plan it out. It really created some excitment as they planned their purchases and knew that they were not going to miss out on a sale. This Saturday I am hosting my 10 year anniversary party and the December 2002 calendar page will be revealed. Let the planning begin! Tammy |

Rep Power: 0 | Free tanning with every gift certificate purchase....it's worked well for me the last 4 years.....obviously all this "free" tanning expires in 30 days.[ This Message was edited by: Big Dawg on 2002-11-13 17:22 ] |
