Rep Power: 26 | Please click on the link below to view and print out the first response from Health Canada to my letter of August 28, 2002. In summary, Health Canada has agreed to remove the FDMSU statement that "Children. As much as 80% of the lifetime UVR esposure takes place before the age of 18 years" from the "Guidelines for Tanning Salon Owners, Operators and Users." Another anti-tanning myth put to bed! Rep Power: 26 | Angeleyes: The important thing to keep in mind is that (1) we CAN prevail if we have our facts lined up, and, (2) the international regulatory committee now knows that we ARE NOT going to sit idly by and let them "have their way" with us any longer. Working together, we can make a difference! Don |
