Rep Power: 23 | another thread got me thinking.... and this is the marketing forum so I'm going to invade Tamar's space for a few minutes with my questions. Which is more important to you? Running a professional and successful salon and getting that success through the merits of your hard work or running a professional salon and getting that success and extra profit through stretched, distorted, or half-versions of the truth? Are you that confident in the superiority and excellence of your establishment and products that you can sell everything in a straightforward manner? Or do you have to resort to modifying and exaggerating claims in order to get the sale? and is there anything wrong with that second version of marketing? What would you do if a customer discovered that what they had been told was not the whole truth? Is this marketing model like a ticking time bomb, waiting to explode at any second? |

Rep Power: 0 | Sometimes "in my opinion" a product I may carry may not be my first choice in tanning lotion, diet supplements, or skin care. Which is basically the only things I retail in the tanning side. However,to sell it I have stretched the truth in the past, but I have learned that as long as I carry "quality" products, just because they are not my favorite, they may be someone else's. So through experience, I only buy professional products from professional manufacturer's that I trust. Therefore- I can always tell the facts about a product and it may sell and may not...... But it is definately easier to sell something I love....... |
