Rep Power: 0 | Hi, This is Steve from mailink. Sorry I did not post this sooner. I thought I would answer some marketing questions on this site before I talked about my business.I'm not just here to increase my business but to help in overall marketing for salons. I have already posted on a few threads here that had nothing to do with direct mail. But since a few people seemed interested in direct mail I will give you some of my thoughts on it. Direct mail should not be confused with coupon mailers. Their are two kinds of direct mail, client based and target based. Target based mailers are good to do once or twice a year to get new clients only. I reccomend 18 to 45 yr. old females within a 3 mile radius of your salon. Client based mailers should be done 6 to 8 times a year. I find that my clients recieve a 5% to 12% response back from these mailers. But remember good offers mean good responses. So many salons worry about getting in new clients that they forget about the clients they already have. There are so many new salons opening up that there is no client loyalty. So its important to keep your name in front of your clients with good offers. Its also a good idea to keep your clients tied up with big packages, that way when they see another salons offers they won't bite because you have them tied up in a good long package. This is why coupon mailers don't stack up to direct mail. Coupon mailers go to everyone in a zone and some don't even give exclusivity anymore. So their might be two or three salons in each envelope. Not very good odds.Sorry for running on but you asked for it. If I can answer anyother questions please call or email. Thanks Steve. 888-633-9631 mailink1@aol.com www.gotanmail.com |
