What ideas do you have to market more males! We have a decent percent of male clients but I would like to increase this. Have you used an idea that has worked?

I only have a second to reply here but I have found that having males work in your salon boosts most males comfort level about coming in to tan. We are also display some posters with males on them and we guide men toward "men friendly" lotions, such as gels or some with no scents. They feel that if you have a particular product that is specifically for men then a lot of men must tan. We get many males, I would say it's a 40/60 split.

we have alot of men tan with us I think mostly the reason for this is because were are next door to the most popular barber shop in town. I dont mind all the men tanning with us ... Have you ever thought of advertising in a barber shop of somewhere men go alot ..

The general manager of the gym around the corner from us has been an absolute godsend by promoting us to his staff and members. Staff gets a discount on their monthly memberships and they typically walk over to tan. Not only do men on the street see the buffed up dudes walking in, but the women too...The men say "Wow, if I tan there, I could look like that!" And the women say "Is he single?"...it's a yummy situation all the way around. Eye candy all day! Our men to women ratio is probably about 40/60 also.

We also have many men. I have found that by offering a "family package" we attract alot of husbands and sons. I have not instituted anything oficial to my staff, but when I was working the counter, I offered a 10% on packages and lotions to many of my now clients. I may institue an oficial program promoting such a package. Just a thought.

have males work in the salon and get booths, most men hate tanning beds, once they try a booth they will not go to salons with out booths.
