Rep Power: 23 | The Salon Owner of Le Beach in California actually thought it would be free advertising to let the news come in and HYPE the mist on tanning unit...but it is clear this was not a good idea. They actually had a Derm and the News Ancor on there refering to cancer free, Safe and so on.."AS COMPARED to the REGULAR TANNING units." The owner even was nice enough to allow them to tape the room with the bed running.. Not to mention they showed CALTAN's Insurance as what you NEED to tan in on of those beds ( and I am quoting ) OMG!!! Ummm correct me if I am wrong but I have been selling Insurance for burn relief... not as an tanning lotion....what about you??? BTW I have a satilite so get alot of different stations... even though I am located in MI. THIS BOTHERS ME... What was he thinking???? I believe that owner should have come up off a few dollars to advertise his new mist on unit.. this way just cost him and alot of other salons alot!!! I am not in California but if I was, I would be pi$$ed. I would image that The owner of that TANNING establishment DID NOT THINK the decision all the way through. AGAIN I ASK....WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE THINKING????? Can anyone 'splain to me..why a owner would feel the need to put down, devalue the units that made him what he is for some new UVFREE unit????? I just do not get it..Don't we have enough bad pressout there ..already???? :stupidpeopleshouldbeslappedstunnedface: Ok I am done... sorry Don.. mj _________________ BigDog B.O.D. Rep Power: 26 | MJ: Properly presented, the APPROPRIATE "Sunless Booth" message compliments what UVR emitting sunbeds do which is, as you know, to deliver a "controlled" dose of UVR. The INAPPROPRIATE way that they are being sold today is a disgrace and we should all let the offending companies know what we think in LV. If enough of us do so, perhaps they will change their message. I'll have some comments later (still recovering from the LONG flight home) regarding what I believe the "appropriate" message should be. Rep Power: 0 | Don, I would like th hear your thoughts on this. I too am not impressed with the marketing techniques being used out their. I have customers that have heard this message and have to be resold on the "traditional units" I promote. As far as getting one of these units, so far I have not been impressed. We had a demo at ETS, and the solution streaked. Looked real funky. I could'nt or would'nt sell these results to my clients. |
