Rep Power: 24 | We will be offering Henna tattoos this year when it's warm and more folks head off the shore instead of tanning indoors. I am already practicing on myself with thickness, designs and lasting color. Tanned skin is harder to stain than white skin... but I have experimented with good mixtures and found a nice lasting mix. Our clients are already seeing and commenting about my henna art on my left hand and can't wait until we offer it. We will schedule days for clients to book appointments and mix our henna ahead of time. Our commissions for our art will be 50%... which is great considering how inexpensive henna is. We will do all freehand design following design books or simply be artful on our own level of creativity. Last year it is was a huge success and every henna day was a banner day in sales. It doesn't take an artistic person to be creative, and henna is so beautiful with a golden tan. Think about it... |

Rep Power: 0 | Check out www.fda.gov and do a search on black henna. I ordered colored hennas from a company and they sent this evil black henna with the kit. As a service, inform your customers of the risks of black henna. I've had a couple of clients come back from Mexico that had it done with disasterous results. Brown henna is the way to go. |

Rep Power: 24 | My sister gets it done in the summer a lot, on our cities water front there is stuff going on all summer long, many people do the mendi art, she has never had a problem. A friend of hers had a bad reaction and had to go to the Dr. _________________ Tanning Booths, for people that want only the very best. Fast, Comfortable, Dark Tanning and Hygienic. Rep Power: 24 | We don't use ANY black henna at all. There is a chemical added to the powder that is toxic and is currently under investigation by the FDA. (believe me, I do my homework) But red henna is safe and that's all I use. |

Rep Power: 23 | This is a great idea. One major problem - I am definitely not artistic. I can design a home that will make you drool. But I cannot draw a straight line (without a ruler) to save my life. I might see if one of our girls is interested in this. |

Rep Power: 24 | Are there people who specialize in Henna Art? I would think if you don't get it just right it could look ugly if it ran or blotched up.. I had it done about 5 years ago on the palm of my hand by a woman from India who was an artist.. The pattern was a design about me..my life.. at least that is what she said.. ...... It was pretty cool..cost about $65.00 and I liked it for the time it was on.. but she was a Henna artist... Laurie.. what did you pratice on before you did your own skin? |

Rep Power: 0 | Bronze Star, I had been told by you know you that you had little to offer on these boards. While I never believe a word out of that guys’ mouth, you have certainly shown the opposite to be true. Henna is HUGE! We were a major sponsor for an Earth Day festival last year. Had the big booth set up doing skin type analysis (with Bob Wagner’s meter) and handing out exposure schedules for indoors and outdoors along with free SPF’s (provided by Cal Tan). We did OK, but two booths down (in a booth a third of the size of ours) was the biggest crowd I’ve ever seen assembled around a booth. I had no idea what was going on. I strolled down there to find four girls applying Henna tattoos to a never-ending line of customers. These people made thousands. The line never died down, busy to the end. This stuff sells. My questions are how do you do it at a tanning salon? Will the UV fade it? And how do I integrate it with my $18.88? For Bronze , I have a great idea. Bring it to the Tanning Industry. Do it at our Trade Shows! You will make big bucks at the event and may well find a way to retail it to salons. If booth fees are an issue, I’ll back you in Vegas—interested?
