Rep Power: 0 | Since the other site is down, I suppose I will use my special abilities that have made me a moderator over there and play around here... but my play is innocent enough - it is too make us all better salon owners... so here goes with topic number 1. Do you schedule employees around there body clock? What do I mean? Easy - some of us are morning people... others of us - myself especially cannot function in the morning, but pick up at night... at night - I excell in the salon - can sell a solar powered flashlight or dehydrated water... but in the morning... I couldn't give away water to put out a fire... I can't answer the phone properly... How many of you have actually put this in your interview - to judge where your employee will be the most effective? It can add hundreds of dollars a day to your bottom line... Rod |

Rep Power: 23 | Rod - I apologize. I guess I didn't notice this topic when it was originally posted. This is something we should all consider. I know I am definitely a morning person. And, if I am working a 12 hour shift, by the end of the day I cannot even talk straight. I'm mumbling and mixing up words. Since all of our employees are students they don't really have an option for when they can actually work. But, this is definitely something I will consider in the future. |
